Join us for the next Young Governors鈥 Network meeting
Are you a school governor or trustee under 40 鈥 or thinking of becoming one? The Young Governors鈥 Network (YGN) exists to support and connect young governors and trustees, helping you share experiences, learn from peers and strengthen your contribution to your school or trust.
What we鈥檒l cover in this meeting:
- What鈥檚 new with Ofsted
In November 2025, Ofsted began using a new inspection framework 鈥 replacing the traditional 鈥渟ingle-word鈥 school judgments with detailed report cards, evaluating schools across multiple categories using a five-point scale. In this meeting, we鈥檒l talk through those changes, share any recent inspection experiences and open the floor for your questions. - Finance & funding
We know that funding pressures and financial oversight are among the biggest challenges governing boards face. At this session, we鈥檒l discuss what financial challenges members are seeing in their schools/trusts, what this may mean for your governing role and explore how boards can strengthen financial oversight.
