Young Governors Network - Summer 2026
Join us for the next Young Governors’ Network meeting
Are you a school governor or trustee under 40 — or thinking of becoming one? The Young Governors’ Network (YGN) exists to support and connect young governors and trustees, helping you share experiences, learn from peers and strengthen your contribution to your school or trust.
This session will feature a presentation on the Department for Education’s new schools white paper, followed by a Q&A and open discussion on its implications for the sector and those governing. Attendees will also have the opportunity to hear from one of our YGN members, who will share their recent experience of an Ofsted inspection as a young co-chair. We also welcome additional questions or topics for discussion from attendees, helping to create an engaging and insightful session.
Why attend
- Connect with other young governors and trustees across the UK — share experiences, swap ideas and build support networks.
- Gain practical insight into current issues that are shaping school governance right now.
- A welcoming, inclusive space: whether you’re new to governance or have experience, you’ll find value in the discussion.
Interested?
If you’re under 40, you’re very welcome — you don’t need to be an ¾«Æ·SMÔÚÏßӰƬ member to join.
Bring your questions, ideas and experiences to help shape how YGN supports young governors now and in the future. We’d love to see you there.
