The聽school resource management self-assessment checklist聽(SRMSAC) provides assurance to trust boards and senior leaders that their trust is meeting the basic standards for good financial health and resource management.

Academy trusts must complete and submit the SRMSAC to the Department for Education (DfE) annually.

The SRMSAC can also be used throughout the year by boards as a tool for ensuring effective oversight and management of resources.

Our guide is designed to help trust boards complete the SRMSAC. It explains the respective roles of trustees and trust leaders during the process and highlights opportunities for collaboration.
